Adolescent counselling

whether you are a concerned teacher, parent, relative or friend, we are here to help! Contact us for guidance, and strategies or to arrange a meeting, assessment or an education workshop at your school, home, or business.

We have a comprehensive assessment system that will determine problem areas in a young person’s life.

From beginning to end, we work closely with schools, guidance counsellors, therapists, and health providers involved with the student to ensure a thorough assessment, counselling plan, and positive outcome.

We use recognized screening measures and detailed information gathered from families, schools, the teen’s other health care providers, and our own mental health specialists to recommend a workable counselling plan.

individual counselling

In weekly or biweekly sessions you are encouraged to identify the key trigger issues creating problem area in your life. You are supported as you develop a personal counselling program that best supports your life goals. As these identified life goals are worked toward, family, vocational, and relationship issues can then be addressed.

intervention services

If dealing with addiction problems The process of addiction interventions is a simple but highly effective process. We will meet with participating family, friends and/or co-workers prior to the intervention, so we can educate everyone on the disease of addiction. Then we would give structure to how to run the intervention. We would collaborate with the all the loved ones and rehearse the intervention. Rehearsal is one of the most important elements to a successful intervention.

Often, we ask family and friends to write letters in which they describe their experiences of the addict’s behaviour and how it affects them individually. During the intervention, family members are asked to read their letters and speak honestly about their experience is affecting them. This often disables the addict and forces them to acknowledge their disease.

We create a safe environment that makes this compassionate experience for the affected person and it motivates them to seek recovery.
